Rebekah's Sweet 16

My little sister turned 16!  In true Rebekah form, she asked for us to throw her a surprise party.  Somehow we managed to pull it off thanks to my mom hinting that her party would be Monday instead of Sunday.  Our friends and family gathered our home church in Williamsburg to celebrate our special girl's day!  It such a wonderful party and celebration of 16 crazy, awesome years with Rebekah.

Our grandmother on our mom's side.  Lovingly nicknamed "Gummy."

Our grandmother on our dad's side.  This picture truly captures her spirit.

Our mom handmade the cake and cupcakes.  It took a while to ice and frost using her homemade frosting.  And of course in pink!  She also made the sign!

The birthday girl!

Not to brag on myself, but I'm pretty proud of this subway art I made for Rebekah's party favors.

One of the only times you will see me in a photo!  I like to be behind the camera, observing and capturing moments.

Little Eden is so vivacious and a must at a party!

Mom and I (mostly Mom) made some decorations for the party.

How could you not fall in love with him?

If you look closely, you'll see some embarrassing (and a few cute) photos of Bekah and I as a kid.

Our grandparents and I drove down from PA just to come for Rebekah's party!

We all got up and talked about our best memories, funny times, and fondness of the girl of the hour.

Don't get Rebekah started on One Direction...

There is a long story behind this photo and the one below it.  Rebekah saved up her money to buy an iPod Touch and she takes it everywhere with her.  When she was at camp, a girl accidentally cracked her screen, mumbled an apology, and ran away.  She was really upset, but there was nothing she could do.  Some of Rebekah's friends in the youth group gathered their money together and bought her a new one for her birthday.  It's nicer than her old one, and it comes from true friends.  What a beautiful illustration of love!

All in all, it was a fun party and Dad got cupcakes.  So everybody's happy.
